Projects: Street Fighter: Resurrection

The team behind Machinima’s “Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist” is back with “Street Fighter: Resurrection,” a live-action miniseries.

“Street Fighter: Resurrection” is directed and written by Joey Ansah (“The Bourne Ultimatum,” “Snow White and the Huntsman”), and produced by Jacqueline Quella and Mark Wooding. The trio were behind 2014’s 12-episode “Assassin’s Fist,” which told the story of “Street Fighter” characters Ken and Ryu.

Set a decade after the events in “Assassin’s Fist,” “Street Fighter: Resurrection” stars Mike Moh (“Empire”) and Christian Howard (“The World’s End”), who reprise their roles as Ryu and Ken, respectively. The series brings back a character long-presumed dead, Charlie Nash (played by Alain Moussi). In addition, the series features cameos from top Machinima talent including Amy Johnston from Bat in the Sun Productions and Terroriser, who is best known for his autotuning gaming videos.

The four-episode show, which provides the backstory for Capcom’s recently launched “Street Fighter V” video game, is Machinima’s first series to air exclusively on Go90.

“Street Fighter: Resurrection” is produced by World Warrior Ltd. with Machinima Studios, and in association with Capcom.
